Godchicks Conference 2012

This is now the second year that I have been able to participate in the house band at the Godchicks Women's Conference. It is always an amazing time and it is so great to serve these thousands of women in such a huge capacity. We literally prepared for over a month. We had like 4 six-hour rehearsals....some of which didn't even include a bathroom break; and all of which we didn't get to sit down almost the whole time! The reason they were so long is because we were coordinating lighting cues, sound settings, in-ear monitor mixes for like 30 different people (all of which would change for each song), video cues with corresponding click tracks, transitions between each of the elements, walk on songs for the guest speakers, dance numbers, and we had to actually rehearse the songs multiple times to make sure all of these elements were working together seamlessly. It was beautiful to watch it all come together.

Overall, the conference went off pretty much without any problems. I basically got the opportunity to perform a ridiculous amount of songs, with some of the most talented musicians I know, in an effort to serve and inspire women from all around the world, and bring healing, change, and restoration to their lives. How awesome is that?!?!

Check out the other members of the house band. These dudes are BAD!

David Das - Producer, Composer, Musical Genius, and Keys/Music Director for the conference - www.daviddas.com
Phillip Meneses - Amazingly talented Guitar player, and just an awesome dude to be around - www.phillipmeneses.com
Keith "Stix" McJimson - This dude is one of the baddest drummers I've ever met! Enough said - www.stixondrums.com
Leo Budirihardjo - Solid and super tasty bass player. His groove is phenominal! www.buzzleo.com

Leo and Stix make the scariest rhythm section I know. They are sooo freaking good together!

The conference was amazing and a good time was had by all!
